A doodle is an unfocused or unconscious drawing made while a person's attention is otherwise occupied. Doodles are simple drawings that can have concrete representational meaning or may just be abstract shapes.
Effects on memory according to a study pubished in the scienific journal Applied Cognitive Psychology, doodling can aid a person's memory by expending just enough energy to keep one from daydreaming, which demands a lot of the brain's processing power, as well as from not paying attention.

Doodling - My personal opinion.
For me doodling is an art form that you can express your feelings or emotions. It's great and funny, also it can improve your imagination and creativity. That everyone can do it, even though you're not good for drawing. Only one thing that you must do, is to draw, or write by designing different ways , expressing your own style and use your creative and imagination.
Well, there are many different styles of doodle art.
One of my favorite doodle art is this.
This picture is drew by a Japanese idol - Ohno Satoshi from a boy band Arashi. As you can see this doodle art is made by different cartoons, letters, figures, etc., in which it's forming a sea horse.
